SO Awesome's last day is June 6, 2017
Well… After five delightful years in business, SO Awesome is closing up shop. We’ve loved making these lovely card decks for your children and families! But it’s time for us to go. We’re closing up on June 6, 2017.
First and foremost, we’d like to thank everyone for your business and support. We love you. Thank you so much.
We’ve received such incredible feedback from families all over the world, and you sent your ideas over in droves. Thousands of our card decks have shipped all over the world, have been delivered to therapy centers, homes, schools, children’s hospitals, libraries, daycares, and waiting rooms… with not one single return in five years.
Our cards have been taken on shopping trips, airplanes to vacations spots, train rides and stroller rides. They’ve been clipped on bags and belt-loops, carried in tiny palms, tucked into wallets, and carried in tiny, sticky palms all over the world.
The cards have been praised by children, parents, grandparents, educators, bloggers, store owners, therapists and care-takers – and we’ve blushed every time.
Thank you to our artists Eugene and Louise, Marc Martin, Nomoko, Adrienne Adelle, Jared Andrew Schorr, Marie Thorhauge, and Rhiannon McCalmont.
Thank you to all of you that worked tirelessly in the studio with me these last five years. I could not have done this without you. You worked many late hours fulfilling orders. You collated decks, did quality control, ringed, packed, weighed packages, sorted, hauled and ran to the post office just before closing time.
Thank you to the educators, parents, children and consultants who worked so hard on creating these. Thank you to Lisa and Martin Camp, my mother and father, for your wonderful work.
Thank you to Owen and Silas for inspiring me to make these cards and start this little business five years ago. Witnessing you learn, work and play is truly one of the most beautiful things in the world. Thank you to my friends and my family who were with us these last five years. YOU guys are truly the awesome ones. Victor, I love you dearly, you unconditionally supported us and made this possible.
For all of you that sent in your ideas with hopes that we might make new sets, we REALLY WANTED TO MAKE THEM, and we appreciate your ideas so much. But alas it was not to be. Please feel empowered to make your own learning materials at home, it really can happen. Learn about Montessori, read Kylie's blog How We Montessori for inspiration.
Now, onto the part y’all probably only really care about.. The sales!
