Meet Contributor, Lisa Camp. As a Montessori teacher, she has worked in both private and public Montessori schools in the United States and has Montessori Certification in Early Childhood and Elementary 6-12, as well as Orientation of the Adolescent. She also holds an MEd in Curriculum and Assessment.
Her experiences in developing a sense of community in each classroom has been a hallmark in her work, as well as establishing opportunities for parents to participate in their child's educational experiences and creating curriculum partnerships with the local community for the children.
"A sense of wonder" has been her guiding principle for over twenty-five years when working with children of all ages. Keeping joy at the heart of everything that is being explored makes the learning experience successful for each child.
Her writing will focus on the joy and wonder she experiences in her work with her twin grandboys, Silas and Owen.
Lisa is also an experienced artist with a focus on printmaking and fiber arts. She is an avid gardener and uses her garden to support her natural dyeing work using bio-regional plantings.
